Heavenly Joeseph Fiennes!

March 04, 2003 - 2:47 pm

I'm going to try to make this entry short, because I don't want to spend a lot of time in the computer lab this afternoon. I menioned briefly before that I was going to see a play of Shakespeare's "Love's Labour's Lost". This play stars Joseph Fiennes! I'm seeing it tonight, and I CANNOT wait to be face to face with the gorgeous Mr. Fiennes. Below you will find a picture of the dreamy Joseph. The picture is from the movie "Shakespeare in Love." Joseph Fiennes played a young William Shakespeare during the time he was writing 'Romeo and Juliet.' Yeah. Great movie. You should check it out if you haven't already seen it (it won the Oscar for Best Picture, so I don't know how you could have avoided it this long. You should be ashamed of yourself if you haven't seen it yet.)

Some other movies that Joseph Fiennes has been in are: "Enemy at the Gates" with costar Jude Law, "Elizabeth", "Killing Me Softly", and "The Very Thought of You" which is one of my personal favorites of his. Oh, I'm so excited!!!! I wish I would have brought my DVD of "Shakespeare in Love" so he could sign it. Oh well.

I had a horrible day yesterday. It was exactly a week since my Monday-from-hell, and yesterday was much better than a week ago. However, much turmoil was experienced. Metaphysics was fine, except that it was the last class before our midterm. The midterm is scaring me to death. It's going to be a one and a half hour exam with only 3 essay questions. The professor also told us that we had to study everything, because he wasn't sure what he'd leave out! I'm SOOOOOO scared. It's going to be the hardest test ever! Argh! Later on in the day I had British Cinema. I got my paper back that I would have got back last Monday. I didn't do as badly as I thought I did. However, the teacher was very unhappy with me that I'd missed class last week. Keep in mind that this teacher hates me anyways. During the break she more or less yelled at me for missing class. I told her that I'd already gone to talk to the Associate Director and that I knew that the absence was unexcused. She then got even more mad because I'd missed class for not being sick. She wanted me to tell her what really happened, and I said I didn't want to talk about it. She yelled at me some more, saying I was acting like a baby and should be more responsible. She had no right to talk to me like that. I didn't want to talk about what happened and she should have accepted that. I even told her that I would have much rather been in class the whole day than have gone through that horrible Monday in Paris. One of my friends in the class stood up for me though. She said that I'd told her what had happened and it was truly horrible, and that she would have been very upset if it had happened to her. It was nice of her to say something. I was on the verge of tears. I ended up calling the teacher a bitch, and I think she heard me. Ooops, that probably won't help things. Blah...

I have a stupid paper due on Thursday that I haven't started yet. I haven't even picked a topic. It's for my Media, Culture, and Globalization class. I hate this class, and all of the topics are boring. I'm not interested in anything this class has to offer. Grrr...I don't know when I'm going to do this paper. It has to be 6 pages too, and it requires outside research. Yuck yuck yuck.

That's enough for now. I hope you enjoyed the picture of Joseph Fiennes. I'll be staring at that gorgeous face all night long. And hopefully after the show I can talk to him and get a picture or/and an autograph. Oh the bliss of being surrounded by stars, which is something I definitely try not to take for granted!

I need to add something. My roommate Lisa and her boyfriend Jason went to Florence this past weekend. They got back on Sunday, and it was really nice to see Lisa back in the room. I'd been practically alone all weekend since Tanya went to Dublin and Joann went to Paris and Sara spent most of the weekend with this girl she's dating. Lisa and Jason had gotten me a present. It was the sweetest, most thoughtful thing in the world. They got me this little, wooden duck keychain. SOOO adorable. It was so unexpected. She even wrapped it! I love unwrapping presents. People don't do things like that for me, just out of the blue like that, for no apparent reason. Well, my mom does every now and then, but not my friends. It was so sweet!
